Course Description

In this course, you will get thorough training from the ground up with regards to rhythm and timing. I will start you off with some simple "tapping" exercises to establish your sense of rhythm, then we will spill into some simple, one-a-day, 4-measure rhythm exercises. I will start you off with quarter notes, half notes, and whole notes, which you will play with separate hands first, then both hands together. Then, you will eventually move through the same process with 8th notes later on in the course.

Piano Instructor

Ayana Webb

I graduated from Rutgers University, with a B.A.S. in Music. I’ve played piano for about 17 years, and have taught for almost six years now, having taught well over 50 in-person students during my career. Outside of piano, I was also involved in some notable vocal projects, such as Jill Scott’s album “Light of the Sun”, in which I’ve been credited for background vocals. I do not teach vocal lessons at the moment.
